Bugged Out!

Night Out.

TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE.

Two things Bugged Out did over lockdown: reschedule club night from this year to next and watch Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense concert film. The latter was immensely more enjoyable than the former so we’re doing it again and this time - we’ll be watching it on a huge screen and you’re all invited!

If you haven’t seen Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense then your life will be immeasurably better for having done so. Directed by Jonathan Demme (7 years before he won the Oscar for Silence Of The Lambs) it captures Talking Heads at their creative zenith; December 1983 in a Hollywood Theatre. It was been hailed as the finest concert film ever made by many critics; the set builds around the band as David Byrne’s first solo appearance fleshes out to a nine piece with each successive song. We’ll be screening it on The Grand’s 25 foot widescreen. The film will be introduced by Sean Rowley.

Erol Alkan will be playing a special 90 minute set he’s termed ’neurotic disco’, partly inspired by Talking Heads and the era they operated in. Expect phone screens to be lit blue with Shazam’s throughout…

Come down early to eat Hot Dogs, popcorn and nachos from Hot Beige. In keeping with the NYC theme we’ll be playing LCD Soundsystem’s 45:33 over the club system while you chow down…

Tickets are limited to only 250 and available in groups of 4, 3, 2.
